As an 8th grader, I was a starter on my high school basketball team. Who said you had to be tall to ball… I was only 4' 10".

I still hold my high school’s PE fitness test record for the most pull-ups by a girl—15. The challenge was having someone lift me up to get started!

Good thing I was fast, I needed a real running start to get over the hurdles to win a sectional title for the 400 intermediate hurdles.

Weightlifting isn’t just for the boys….at one time I could squat 225 lbs—that’s more than the average man weighs!
