Kodak at CES 2007

Kodak’s presence at the well-attended Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas always needs to exceed the WOW-factor from the year before, and this year was no different. While Kodak maintained the same booth space (100 ft x 110 ft) and reused some of their existing properties from 2006, the goal was to have the entire corner scream Kodak and completely amaze the attendees. Themes for this year were the personalization of Kodak products, and the dynamic energy of what Kodak enables the consumer to do with their pictures. “Amp Your Pictures” became the tag line for the main draw, a monolithic, curved wall covered in high-definition plasma screens. MSM also put a lot of effort into customized lighting for the fabric backwall, circular hanging signs and floor to create an energetic, club-like atmosphere that tied in with the video shown on the plasma wall.

The message of personalization was communicated throughout the booth using clean, white pedestal displays together with props to showcase color and fashion themes within the Kodak product lineup. Along one wall, a gallery-like area was created through the use of circular white fabric tubes hung over similar cylindrical displays. Inside each of the fabric tubes a colored spotlight was hung that corresponded to the colored products (cameras, camera bags, digital frames etc) on the pedestal below. A private “Futures” area for product prototypes, interactive demos, a digital frame wall and high-tech conferencing polished off this successful booth and added to Kodak’s impressive presence at CES 2007.
